Wednesday Recharge

  • Clintwood United Methodist Church 426 East Main Street Clintwood, VA, 24228 United States (map)

Every Wednesday night at 7 P.M. the doors of our church are opened and a different kind of service takes place. The service simply consists of three things, worship, prayer, and a lesson. It is an opportunity for us as a church to have a low-barrier service that anyone can feel comfortable attending. Sometimes people feel intimidated coming into a church, there are liturgies and songs that they don’t quite know the rhythm of. The recharge service is a chance to come in as you are and simply worship.

The service only lasts about 45 minutes and dressing casually is strongly encouraged. This service serves three purposes. First, it is an opportunity to reach out to people who are curious about God, but do not feel comfortable attending on a Sunday. Second, it can be a place for people who enjoy more contemporary worship songs to come and sing loud. And lastly, for everyone to get a pick up during the work week.

Who knows if the service will grow, if it doesn’t, that is not a failure. We as a church need to worship God and sing praises to Him any chance we get. On top of that, we know that we are attempting to create a place for curious people to find the truth, and that’s all we can do. If you have a person in your life that God is placing on your heart to invite them to church, this service would be a good place to start. We hope to see you Wednesday at 7!
